Overview

Why is Clarksville Music and Arts Academy considered Number one by so many‍?

What styles of art do you teach?

We teach a wide range of styles including drawing, painting, mixed media, cartooning, abstract, realism, and art inspired by famous artists and global cultures. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging and age-appropriate.

How qualified are your art instructors?

Our art instructors are experienced artists and educators who are passionate about teaching. They bring professional training and a love for creativity, ensuring each student receives individualized attention and encouragement.

What will I learn from the art lessons at the Academy?

Students will learn core artistic techniques such as sketching, shading, color theory, and composition. They'll also explore different mediums, discover art history connections, and develop their own creative voice through hands-on projects.

Our Art classes offer students a chance to explore creativity through drawing, painting, and mixed media in a hands-on, supportive environment. With a focus on both foundational techniques and self-expression, students learn about color theory, composition, art history, and global styles. Each project is age-appropriate and designed to help students build skills, confidence, and their own artistic voice. No prior experience needed—just imagination and a willingness to create!

What’s the #1 reason to study art at the Academy?‍

The number one reason to study art at the Academy is to nurture creativity and personal expression in a structured, inspiring environment where students are encouraged to explore and grow their artistic talents.

My 9-year-old granddaughter is taking piano lessons from Mrs. Jackie Kelley. Mrs. Jackie is a wonderful, kind and understanding teacher.  She is very professional and knows her subject well. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to start a musical talent or who wants to improve on their musical talents.
