Overview

Why is Clarksville Music and Arts Academy considered Number one by so many‍?

What styles of brass do you teach?

We teach classical, jazz, pop, and marching styles for brass instruments including trumpet, trombone, French horn, and tuba. Students are encouraged to explore different genres and techniques to develop a well-rounded sound.

How qualified are your brass instructors?

Our brass instructors are highly qualified musicians with professional training and real-world performance experience. Many have backgrounds in education, ensembles, and solo performance, and are passionate about helping students succeed.

What will I learn from brass lessons at the Academy?

Students will learn proper embouchure, breath control, tone production, music reading, technique, and expression. They’ll also build performance skills, improve sight reading, and gain confidence through structured and encouraging instruction.

Our Brass program offers private instruction for trumpet, trombone, French horn, and tuba, tailored to meet the needs of each student. Lessons focus on developing proper technique, tone quality, breath control, and music reading while exploring styles like classical, jazz, pop, and marching band. Whether you're new to your instrument or preparing for auditions and performances, our experienced brass instructors provide the tools and encouragement to help you reach your goals.

Do I need to purchase a brass instrument?

To practice at home, you will need an instrument. We will be offering a variety of instruments appropriate for beginners at different prices

What’s the #1 reason to study brass at the Academy?‍

The number one reason to study brass at the Academy is to receive personalized, high-quality instruction that builds strong technique, musicality, and confidence—whether you're a beginner or looking to advance your skills.

My 9-year-old granddaughter is taking piano lessons from Mrs. Jackie Kelley. Mrs. Jackie is a wonderful, kind and understanding teacher.  She is very professional and knows her subject well. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to start a musical talent or who wants to improve on their musical talents.
